After Effects is among the movie industries top rated tools for creating special effects, compositing and dynamic motion graphics sequences for commercials, presentations, movies and cartoons. Students will learn their way around the Adobe After Effects interface. They will create their own short “motion graphics” video incorporating their images and words about why they are “Super Stars!” |

The Flash animation portion of the program introduces students to the exciting world of animation. Students will participate in an interactive overview of the Adobe Flash Interface, Timeline and Toolbar. Students will be introduced to Flash tools and interface elements by name and brief description. Students will work through various exercises that will allow students to explore keyframe animation techniques. Students will learn how to take ordinary drawings and bring them to life using the powerful tools inside of Flash. Planes will fly through the air, rockets will take off into the galaxy, and students will learn that when it comes to animating with Adobe Flash the sky is definitely not the limit! |

The internet is everywhere, and we show students how web technology and coding languages work together to create the world wide web. We show students how Adobe Dreamweaver is used to create web pages and dynamic web sites. Students learn by participating in an interactive overview of the Adobe Dreamweaver Interface, and are given a brief history of the internet and Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), and how Dreamweaver is used to edit and create web pages and sites. Students will be introduced to Dreamweaver tools and interface elements by name and brief description. By the end of the web session of the program, students will have created their first web page, complete with text and graphics. |

Students will participate in an interactive overview of the Adobe Photoshop Interface and Toolbar led by the instructor. Students will be introduced to Photoshop tools and interface elements by name and brief description. Students get to participate in a live photo-shoot in front of a “green screen” background. After the shoot, students learn how to import their photographs into Photoshop from the camera. Once their images are inside the program students learn how to create new backgrounds and how to add text and effects. At the end of the sessions students will have created a customized magazine cover with their very own image on the cover! |
